The New EnableMath121 - A Letter to Parents
Dear parent:
Many parents are rightly concerned that their child is not receiving the personalized attention within the classroom that the child needs to excel in math. Teachers today are overwhelmed trying to meet ever increasing demands placed on them by national and state testing requirements in the face of dwindling resources. Most schools and teachers are being asked to do more with less. It is no surprise that there is little room for personalized attention to each student's unique learning needs. By middle school, math proficiency often defines a student's future placement in advanced classes, making basic math skill development the key to future academic success.
Parents face the prospect of either helping their child themselves, which for many is not an attractive option when dealing with mathematics, or employing expensive personal tutoring. At Enablearning, we believe there is a better way, one that combines the use of our unique and effective technology with specially trained Personal Learning Managers. Our PLM will work with your child to build procedural fluency and mastery in the basics through algebra, all the while keeping you informed and involved in your child's progress toward reaching their learning goals.
We are now in the process of recruiting Personal Learning Managers. There is no minimum number of students needed to begin offering the program, so if you believe that your child and those of your neighbors and friends could benefit from our new program please contact us and we will help set up a program in your area. Also, if you know someone or you yourself would like to become a Personal Learning Manager please contact us at seniorplm@enablearning.com.
