Starting a Family Bank

Warner Babcock has been a family business CEO, board member, family council member, and a trustee of many family trusts controlling family businesses, investments, and a special needs trust. He also built three successful businesses (one manufacturing and two service companies) prior to co-founding NYCFEC in 2014. In 2010, he began teaching family business courses to undergraduate and MBA students as an adjunct faculty member at CUNY’s Baruch College. He is a FFI Fellow, NACD Governance Fellow, and a member of Attorneys for Family-Held Enterprises. Mr. Babcock has published articles in Accounting Today, Family Business magazine, Trusts & Estates, and been featured in the New York Times about family banks and intra-family financing. Mr. Babcock holds an MBA degree from Emory University.
